A Proud Heritage—Finding Your African American Roots

    FOR African Americans, finding your ancestors can be especially challenging. Tacoma Family History Center is celebrating Black History Month, by hosting a FREE genealogy workshop designed specifically for individuals with African American ancestry. It will be held February 5, 2022 from 9AM to 2PM at the Tacoma Family History Center, 5915 S. 12th St. in Tacoma Washington.
    Attendees can earn about NEW free resources specific to African American genealogy that are available online, and how to find and search these records. They can also learn ways to tell their own personal family story. Class schedules, and registration information are available at www.tacomaaafhe.com/home.
    This event is designed specifically for individuals with African American Ancestry, but anyone interested in learning more about family history research is welcome to attend. Join us in discovering your roots and begin building your family tree.
