U.S. Home Prices Rise, With Sunnyvale, Calif., Among the Most Expensive

WASHINGTON DC  — Home prices across the United States continue to climb, with the latest report from the National Association of Realtors showing that 90% of metro markets have seen increases—some by as much as 13%.

The national median home price now stands at $410,000, according to the report. Jackson, Mississippi, recorded the highest surge, with prices jumping nearly 29%.

Meanwhile, the San Jose-Sunnyvale metro area in California remains the most expensive housing market in the country, where the average home costs just under $2 million.
