The DuPont BBQ Cookoff is a high‑energy, family‑friendly event that brings together championship pitmasters, backyard BBQ fans, and local families for a weekend of food, music, and community.
Founded in 2017 and now in its 9th year, the Cookoff has grown into a flagship summer tradition in DuPont, Washington. The competition is officially sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS), giving teams and attendees a world‑class competitive experience.
Beyond the smoke and trophies, this event is organized by veterans and community leaders to raise funds for local veteran and youth programs.

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS
KCBS‑sanctioned BBQ competition with certified judges.
KCBS (Kansas City Barbeque Society) events are judged by certified volunteers who evaluate entries based on Appearance, Taste, and Tenderness.
Two full days of barbecue, live music, vendors, and kids’ activities at Clocktower Park.
Veteran‑led event produced by DuPont American Legion “Pat Tillman Memorial” Post #53.
Thousands of attendees expected from across the region. Add last year’s attendance or growth here.
Free entry and free parking so families can focus on enjoying the BBQ.
