Children gaining skills and independence is a wonderful thing, but can increase parental anxiety. Knowing our kids are well-educated on the rules of the road as they navigate their neighborhood and city is a necessity. Our team of traffic safety educators will provide a safe space for kids to learn and ask questions about bicycle safety. Young children through 8th graders will be given a free bicycle safety passport. Traveling from station to station at The Great Olympia Bike Rodeo will earn them stickers. Earn a prize for completing the passport! Our traffic garden team sets up a small-scale version of the roads and intersections that children will be interacting with. Our educators will guide the bicyclists through the course, teaching the skills and signals needed to navigate in the real world
