Local UMC churches are accepting food items to challenge New England-area UMC churches to see who can collect the most food for the Souper Bowl Challenge.
The Pacific Northwest Conference of the United Methodist Church has challenged the churches of the New England Conference to a food drive collection leading up to the Super Bowl.
The Food Drive is from February 1st through Sunday, February 8th at these local churches. First United Methodist Church of Olympia located at Legion and Boundary - 1224 LegionWay SE, Tumwater UMC at 1401 Lake Park Dr. SW, Tumwater, St. Andrew's UMC @540 School ST SE, in Tanglewilde, Lacey, and Shelton UMC @1900 King ST, Shelton.
All contributions are welcome. The contributions will benefit the Thurston County Food Bank and local churches food programs serving the community.
